Dr. Jackeline Gomez Jorge
graduated top 5% of her class from the University of Puerto Rico. She
completed two years of General Surgery at the university of Miami, followed
by a Residency in Radiology. During her last year of residency, she became
Chief Radiology Resident. At the end of her residency, she joined a two-year
Vascular/Interventional Fellowship program at the John Hopkins Medical
Center in Baltimore, Maryland. At the completion of her Fellowship, she
joined the Georgetown Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and the National
Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland as a part of the medical faculty.
She returned to the University of Miami, Department of Radiology where she
worked as a member of the Vascular/Interventional Section until the summer
of 2004. Dr. Gomez is a member of several national organizations including
the American College of Radiology, the Society of Interventional Radiology
and the American Heart Association. She is a reviewer of various medical
journals. Dr. Gomez has has numerous publications including original
scientific papers and book chapters in the Interventional Radiology field.
